The Diana F+ camera is a longtime favorite among the lo-fi and experimental film photographers. It’s versatile enough to transform this camera into anything you wish it to be! If you’re new and unfamiliar with your own Diana F+, we listed some short and easy tricks for you to start off with.
Go Monochrome
Load a roll of black and white film into your Diana F+ and take classy, moody portraits in square format. The wide tonal range of the allows elegant chromatic transitions that make the finish of your prints smooth and seamless.
Textures and Shapes
Want to add clean cut elements or a grungy ambiance onto your pictures? It’s actually possible even in analogue photography. Learn how to mask with the Diana F+ camera using this tipster.
Night Exposures
Take the Diana out on a night walk, and shoot beautiful long exposure photos. Switch on to Bulb mode, and follow trails of night light. Nightscapes are also possible in Bulb mode, as you can keep the shutter open for as long as you like.
Drawing with Light
Doodle and draw against the darkness of the night. Still on Bulb mode, grab a light stick or any handy source of light and begin light painting! Head over to the shop for some more light painting tools you can use.
Surreal Superimposition
Take advantage of the Diana F+’s natural vignettes and multiple exposure function for surrealistic photographs. About anything can just go here, so be creative! Need a burst of inspiration? Check out this gallery for the best of multiple exposure shots captured with the Diana F+.
Colorful Bright Lights
It’s time to wear the rainbow-colored glasses. Light up your photographs by attaching the Diana F+ Flash to your camera. Use the color filters that come with it for extra oomph!
Two in One
Did you know you can divide your lens into two and make two pictures seem like they were taken at the same time? Pair your Diana F+ with the Diana+ Splitzer to mesh two realities into one.
Lensless Shooting
Double the dreamy quality of the Diana F+ by making it into a pinhole camera. Simply unscrew the lens, or attach the Multi-Pinhole Operator and expose three pinholes in one frame. Go for ghost-like, or stereoscopic shots with the Multi-Pinhole Operator.
Change Perspectives
The Diana F+ is so beloved that it has its own set of lenses. Swap the Diana F+’s built-in lens with the Diana+ 38 mm Super Wide Lens for full-frame, super wide angle images, best for wide landscapes. For quirky angles, there’s the Diana+ 20 mm Fisheye Lens for ultra wide-angle fisheye photos.
You can also go the distance whether near or far. The Diana+ 110 mm Telephoto Lens is perfect for subjects from a far distance, while the Diana+ 55 mm Wide Angle and Close Up Lenses are most suitable for portraits and capturing minute details.
Lastly, there’s Diana+ 75 mm Premium Glass Lens for sharp photographs with the signature Diana effect. This camera has the whole package!
Compact Diana
Shoot in another format altogether! Either slide in the Diana+ 35 mm Back to make all your favorite 35 mm films compatible, or turn it into an instant camera with the Diana Instant Back+.

Don't be afraid to shoot with the Diana even when the light is not perfect or inside on "N" mode. Just grab and shoot b&w film and instruct the lab to push your exposed film by a few stops. You can get a really nice results! :)
